As Chief Human Resources Officer at Feeding America, Matt leads the development and implementation of human resources strategies that drive the highest level of employee engagement and performance. In this role, he designs Feeding America strategies for talent acquisition and retention, diversity and inclusion, professional development and organizational effectiveness, and guides employee compensation and benefits policies at all level of the organization.
Prior to joining Feeding America, Matt spent 18 years at Ingredion, a global ingredients company where he most recently served as Vice President Human Resources, Global Specialties and Talent Management, supporting 11,000 employees across 40 countries. In that position he was responsible for global talent acquisition, employee learning and development, diversity and inclusion, capability planning and organizational design and effectiveness. Matt previously held management positions of increasing responsibility and provided strategic human resources direction and leadership for major regional business units including North America, Asia Pacific and Europe Middle East and Africa.
He began his career holding human resources and operations management positions at both Kaiser Aluminum Corporation and Amoco Corporation.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and Master of Science degree in applied personnel psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
