Description

General Description: The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, executing standard sanitation operating procedures within the GCFD meal production facility. Ongoing cleaning, sanitation, ware-washing, organization, and monitoring are primary functions of this team member. Dishwasher reports to the Senior Manager of Food Safety and Meal Operations and must understand and demonstrate positive food safety culture.

Job responsibilities

Key Functions:

• Perform opening and closing duties of the kitchen

• Perform scheduled daily, weekly and monthly sanitation duties

• Manage the handling and removal of kitchen waste

• Properly handle and store cleaning and sanitizing chemicals

• Ensure production environment meets regulatory sanitation standards

• Assist with sanitation verification paperwork such as SSOP and Post-Operational Inspections logs

• Wash and sanitize kitchen wares manually

• Operate automatic ware-washing machinery

• Clean and sanitize processing equipment according to manufacturer instructions

• Demonstrate food safety culture throughout the kitchen

• Assist with labeling, dating and stowing inventory upon receipt

• Other duties as assigned

Application qualifications

• No prior experience in a sanitation role is necessary
• Must be able to lift/push at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to read and understand chemical safety data sheets
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
EXPOSURE:
• Production kitchen environment with exposure to warehouse operations and cold processing room
• Interacts with GCFD staff
• Consistent standing and walking throughout hours of operation
