Description

The Retail Food Donation Coordinator is responsible for maintaining relationships with retail partners at the store level, supporting Hunger Relief Partners in relation to the Food Rescue Program, and taking responsibility for the reporting, onboarding, assessment of participation, and coverage of assigned stores. This involves regular communication with Hunger Relief Partners regarding equipment, timely reporting, pickup scheduling, temporary store assignment changes, and support for the MealConnect software. The Retail Food Donation Coordinator will also support the Partner Support Department by creating and sustaining the relationships and communications with agency partners for the distribution of products within the assigned territory.

Job responsibilities

• Work with Food Bank of Wyoming staff and volunteers to ensure food safety, and donation policies are followed
• Provide accurate reports as requested by our retail partners
• Maintain web-based donation reporting system of assigned agencies and retail locations (MealConnect)
• Analyze program reports to support growth and build retail partnerships
• Conduct store and agency visits to enhance relationships, educate about the Food Rescue Program, resolve issues and improve performance
• Facilitate the complex relationships between partner agencies and retail donors
• Ensure annual program agreement compliance
• Ensure accurate poundage reporting and tracking
• Provide Food Rescue training for retailers and partner agencies
• Maintain relationships with assigned Hunger Relief Partners and retail partners, including frequent face-to-face visits
• Work with the Food Sourcing Manager on program improvements and account management
• Maintain high-level interdepartmental communication regarding all aspects of the Food Rescue program
• May attend food industry events including trade shows, association meetings, and network conferences
• Help promote Food Bank of Wyoming programs at the Hunger Relief Level

Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required; or equivalent work-related experience
• 3-5 years prior experience working in a retail setting, customer service, or sales preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience using collaborative tools for file storage and sharing, meeting scheduling, and virtual collaboration
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt, full-time position working approximately 40 hours per week. Travel within the geographic region will be required (approximately 60%), including overnights.
