Description

As a Program Manager you will be responsible for our new Growing Healthy Pantries (GHP) Initiative including all aspects of program administration including convening of NJ food bank Steering Committee, developing, implementing, and maintaining internal staff training on the GHP toolkit, developing and implementing the Capacity Building Grant Program, and tracking and evaluating all toolkit use across the state.

Job responsibilities

Act as primary point of contact for vendor to execute online version of GHP toolkit
Develop and implement staff training and track external partners’ program implementation
Analyze and report on partner engagement activities and performance.
Create and implement a request for proposal (RFP) process for Capacity Building Grant Program.
Develop, lead, and conduct evaluations of Community of Practice.
Build and maintain subject matter expertise in best practices for healthy pantry operations and equitable service models.
Maintain and enforce organization’s policies and procedures.
Represent CFBNJ through participation in virtual and onsite events.

Application qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience on a team in which program/project management was required, or 9 years of experience on a team in which program/project management was required
Technical aptitude (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) is essential for success.
Interest or aptitude in research/evaluation is a plus
Positive and creative solutions-based attitude, excellent professional communication/interpersonal skills
Experience in community outreach, program management, project management, working with people from a variety of backgrounds: community organizations, government officials, vendors, and staff at all levels, experience working in underserved communities is a plus.
Bilingual or multilingual skills (English plus Spanish, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Arabic, Creole, Bengali, or other) are a plus.
Reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license are necessary, as traveling throughout New Jersey is a requirement.
Flexibility is necessary as there are evenings and weekend days that require coverage and attendance at external events. This role requires 40% of the time spent in the office and 40%-60% of travel within the state of New Jersey.
