Description

Fulfill’s response to hunger is only as strong as its network of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other food distribution programs. The Network Engagement Team (NET) Manager leads Fulfill’s execution of services to train, support, and build the capacity of this mighty network of nearly 300 agency partners serving neighbors facing hunger in communities across Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The position requires a collaborative, emotionally intelligent leader who bases decisions in data and stakeholder feedback. The NET Manager leads a team of three associates and one administrative assistant to execute this work.

Job responsibilities

Network Relations
• Maintains existing agency relationships, evaluates and develops new partnerships
to ensure the equitable, need-based distribution of resources throughout Fulfill’s
service area,
• Ensures excellent customer service,
• Provides training for the Fulfill agency network to build skills and ensure compliance
with regulations for TEFAP, SFPP, CSFP, and general food distribution programs, as
applicable and specified by Feeding America and the NJDA,
• Ensures each partner agency is visited at least annually for performance
monitoring, capacity building, on-site troubleshooting, and compliance remediation,
• Supports Fulfill’s Agency Partner Advisory Committee (APAC),
• Oversees all communications with member agencies through a monthly NET
Newsletter, monthly member meetings, agency portal and other modes of
communications,
• Direct the recordkeeping and filing system of all member agencies and ensure all
activity is appropriately documented.

Program Administration
• Oversees Fulfill’s Mobile Pantry Program and Enabled Agency Program,
• In partnership with the APAC, administers the Agency Capacity Building Grant
Program, a quarterly grant-making process,
• Participates in and ensures success of program audits by Feeding America or
NJDA,
• Establishes standard operating procedures for Fulfill programs, government
programs and those related to member agencies and agency food distribution.

Planning and Reporting
• Prepare annual workplan and budget; monitor departmental spending,
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of program reports to relevant agencies,
• Researches or participates in the development of new programs to meet the
changing food security needs of the community as such opportunities arise,
• Administer agency and neighbor feedback surveys and focus groups, as needed.

Team Leadership and Collaboration
• Provides leadership and performs supervisory responsibilities for the Network
Engagement Team including staffing, training employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; professional development and performance management of
employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems,
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Operations and Culinary teams to ensure
alignment of food supply with network needs,
• Collaborates with internal and external programs, as needed,
• Other duties as assigned.

Application qualifications

• Previous supervisory/management experience of at least 2 years
• Background in nutrition, trauma-informed care, and experience with nonprofits or
food banking a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills; able to deliver
constructive feedback to diverse stakeholders with tact and diplomacy
• Prior experience applying program/performance data as the basis for programmatic
decision-making; skilled in project management; experience with program
development and/or evaluation a plus
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office/O365 applications
• Intermediate knowledge of Ceres, Agency Express, and Oasis Insight; or strong
prior database experience with the expectation of attaining proficiency in these
systems within 90 days
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to take initiative, work in a team and with people from a variety of
backgrounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required for occasional work at
other locations.
