The Food Bank of Wyoming Warehouse Driver – CDL Class A will be instrumental in supporting the Casper, Wyoming distribution center; 70% of the responsibilities will involve driving routes to multiple food donation agencies statewide and 30% will be assisting with warehouse duties. The Warehouse Driver will be comfortable driving in all weather conditions and will frequently interact with volunteers, Hunger Relief Partners, donors, and the general public.

Job responsibilities

• Maintain food industry standards and certification for proper product handling, storage, and distribution in accordance with Food Bank of Wyoming and Feeding America standards
o Assisting with breaking down pallets, disposing of waste, and collecting recyclable materials during and after each distribution
• Drive tractor 40’-53’ Trailer combinations to mobile pantry locations
• Unload and load food and external locations, working closely with the Food Bank of Wyoming team, partner agencies, and volunteers according to delivery specifications and within Food Bank of Wyoming policies
• Responsible for maintaining driver logs on Verizon Connect, vehicle inspection, and other maintenance schedules according to DOT regulations
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitized cab, including cargo area, and food-handling equipment
• Maintain receipts, invoices, and other required paperwork for each site
• Assists with warehouse duties:
o Stocking shelves, record keeping, waste, inventory counts, sanitation
o Equipment, building, and grounds.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or delegated

• Demonstrated ability to bend, twist, kneel, climb, lift, pull, push & other warehouse activities

Preferred Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 25 years of age or older due to insurance requirements
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a valid DOT Medical Card and excellent driving record
• Minimum 1-year prior experience as Commercial Driver required
• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is strongly preferred but not required
• Forklift experience and certification a plus but not required
• Warehouse experience desired

• Daily travel within the service area and use of Tractor, Trailer, and Box Truck
• Outdoor and warehouse environments frequently
• Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Frequent handling of equipment used to facilitate the sale, storage, transport, and disposal of food including forklift, stand-up/sit-down lift truck, step-up pallet jack and automatic pallet jack
• Occasionally use office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, and printer

Expected Hours of Work:
This role is considered full-time, non-exempt, working approximately 40 hours per week. Work schedules vary each week and consist of weekdays (route schedules typically begin at 5am on weekdays), evenings, and occasional Saturdays (1-2 Saturdays per month).
