The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for supervising the people and processes of the distribution team including replenishment, order fulfillment, inventory rotation and staging, and administrative processes. Operates within a multi-temperature distribution center.

Job responsibilities

• Supervises a team of from 7 to 10 team members including up to 2 leads and an administrative.
• Ensures the core processes of the team are efficient and accurate including:
• Replenishment
• Order fulfillment
• Inventory rotation and handling
• Order accuracy
• Attends weekly Distribution meetings and maintains lines of communication with various departments regarding product disposition needs. Including Mobile Pantry, Healthcare Box Program, Nutrition Network & various other programs
• Works closely with the Dock Operations Supervisor, the Transportation Supervisor, the Volunteer Operations Supervisor, and the Agency Dock Supervisor to integrate common tasks and goals among the overall operations team at our main warehouse facilities
• Create and execute developmental plans for your key team members
• Provide team member training on both equipment and processes/tasks
• Gather, create, and implement metrics to measure processes and further the teams’ efficiencies (i.e.: Weekly Recap & Warehouse Labor Tracker)
• Provides leadership support when other operations supervisors are unavailable
• Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse in keeping with Food Bank of the Rockies and Feeding America standards
• Participate in physical inventory for the main warehouse and other locations for donated and purchased products

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to represent Food Bank of the Rockies with professional poise and work effectively with a wide range of constituents including outside vendors.

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent work-related experience.
• Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory distribution experience recommended
• Ability to perform strenuous labor
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack preferred
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and online technologies
• Experience using collaborative tools for file storage and sharing, meeting scheduling, and virtual collaboration preferred

• Walking and standing for long periods, sitting intermittently.
• Using office equipment such as a computer, mouse, keyboard, printer
• Indoor office and warehouse environment frequently.
• Occasional Refrigerated warehouse environment including a Freezer at -10 degrees and a Cooler at 32-39 degrees.
• Forklift driving, standing, walking, and loading product onto a pallet.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
• Use specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Expected Hours of Work:
This role is considered full-time working approximately 40 hours per week and is eligible for overtime for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Work schedules consist of weekdays typically starting by 7 am.
