Description

The Donor Engagement Manager on the Corporate Relations team will be instrumental in deepening institutional donor engagement, resulting in sustained and increased overall corporate support. This position will carry a focused portfolio of corporate event sponsors and partners and be responsible for developing and implementing broad-based, multichannel engagement and recognition strategies for institutional partners.

Job responsibilities

• With the support of the Director of Corporate Relations and in collaboration with the Stewardship Operations team, develop a robust, multichannel engagement strategy and communications plan for institutional partners, including existing and new engagement opportunities

• Leverage best practice research in strategic recommendations for broad-based cultivation and stewardship strategies that strengthen the engagement of corporate partners

• Create and maintain a corporate communications calendar, tracking milestones, assignments, and deadlines, for all scheduled emails, events, and strategic communications

• With the support of the Director of Corporate Relations and in collaboration with Stewardship Operations team, enhance and implement the team’s corporate recognition strategy

• Leverage events as an engagement channel with corporate partners, including (but not limited to) events like the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards, corporate partner lunch and learns, tours, repack sessions, and webinars (both general and focused)

• Collaborate with the Stewardship Operations team for the coordination and execution of event logistics

• In partnership with the Director of Corporate Relations, manage and support the volunteer committees for event planning and execution, including drafting meeting agendas, revenue reports, meeting logistics, creating post-meeting and event surveys, and arranging committee repacks days, tours, and site visits.

• Partner with the Stewardship Operations team to curate and draft content for corporate engagement materials and communications, including the Corporate, Foundation, and Organization Quarterly Newsletter

• Organize and participate in corporate partner tours and site visits

• Greet and welcome new and emerging donors as they arrive for repack sessions

• Track relationship activities in Stratus Live

Application qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of fundraising experience required, with a preferred emphasis on broad-based stewardship and engagement strategies

• Experience coordinating, planning, and/or managing cultivation and stewardship initiatives required Rev. 5.20.24 fin

• Strong project management and time management skills; demonstrated success in building timelines, hitting milestones, meeting deadlines, and managing competing priorities

• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are a must

• A nimble, collaborative team player who can navigate dynamic work environments and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft products, Stratus Live, and Events CRMs
