Description

As a Community Connections Manager, you will play a crucial role in the leadership and execution of direct and mobile outreach programs on federal nutrition benefits to neighbors in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties. You will manage a team of Outreach Coordinators, ensuring adherence to community outreach best practices.

Job responsibilities

Manage a team of outreach coordinators and the SNAP vehicle.
Ensure uniform standards of program delivery, including messaging, implementation practice, policy application, and adherence to rules and procedures.
Assist team members at both direct and mobile outreach activities, to identify, screen, and assist neighbors with federal nutrition benefit applications
Visit community partners on a quarterly basis to ensure quality of services and plan for continued collaboration.
Maintain knowledge and expertise in eligibility, enrollment, and program specifications of SNAP, WIC, TANF/GA, and school meals
Establish and grow positive relationships with partners, county and municipal officials, and other nonprofit organizations, and represent CFBNJ at events and meetings. 
Provide programmatic, outreach, and post-event reports.
Provide critical analysis on the execution of service programs including the SNAP van.
Perform other duties as assigned. 

Application qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 2-3 years relevant supervisory experience
Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of the CFBNJ and an ability to articulate the organizational goals and values
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a diverse community
Demonstrated experience effectively managing remote and community-based teams
Demonstrated ability to maintain complete and accurate data, with keen attention to detail
Knowledge of case management a plus, along with good documentation, data reporting skills, attention to detail, and creative problem solving
Ability to maintain positive morale, adaptability, and effective communication and interpersonal skills; Strong time management skills and the ability to handle competing priorities
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license as travel to partner sites is required
Ability to work some nights and weekends as needed
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
