Courtenay Cox"One in six Americans struggles with the reality of hunger. The organization on the front lines of that issue is Feeding America—what an amazing organization for me to work with."

Courteney Cox gained overnight fame as she endeared herself to millions as the neurotic yet loveable Monica Gellar on NBC’s Emmy® Award winning comedy “Friends.”

Cox can currently be seen in Disney’s family comedy Bedtime Stories starring opposite Adam Sandler. The film focuses on a hotel handyman whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true.

She most recently created, starred, and produced, FX’s comedy “Dirt.” In it, Courteney portrayed the powerful, intelligent and ruthless editor-in-chief of Dirt Now magazine, Lucy Spiller. The show focused on the price one must pay for success in a world built upon unraveling the truth behind celebrity façades.

Cox is scheduled to reteam with “Scrubs” creator Bill Lawrence on the new pilot “Cougertown” for ABC.  The comedy centers on an attractive, newly single 40-year old mom with a 17-year old son.  Courteney and Bill will serve as executive producers through their companies Coquette and Doozer, respectively.

This year, Courteney made the natural segue from producing into directing for Glamour’s Reel Moments Project.  Monday Before Thanksgiving marks Cox’s directorial debut and is a touching drama focusing on Laura Dern’s character, a woman who has a chance encounter on a bus on the first anniversary of the loss of her mother which reinforces her faith in herself and the choices she’s made. Glamour Reel Moments is a series of three short films based on real women’s stories written by Glamour readers.   The project benefits a women’s program for FilmAid International, an organization that uses the power of film to promote health, strengthen communities and enrich the lives of women around the world.

In 2004, Courteney and husband David Arquette established their own production company, Coquette.  Projects have included “Dirt,” the interior design show for cable’s WE (Women’s Entertainment) Network called “Mix It Up,” the comedy “Daisy Does America” for TBS and most recently, The Tripper, a horror film written and directed by David Arquette.
