This means that more than 17 million children are at risk of hunger. But there is hope and there are ways to help.

The nation’s 210,000 letter carriers will collect food donations left at the mailboxes of generous Americans in more than 10,000 communities and deliver them to food banks and other hunger relief organizations.
 

Walmart teams up with Feeding America, The Band Perry, Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley and four major food companies to fight hunger this spring. Leaders of this effort launched a campaign that will enable millions of Americans the opportunity to get involved by shopping at Walmart or visiting the company’s Facebook page through April 30.

Sam’s Club® Supports Child Hunger through $1 Million Donation to Feeding America

The ninth annual Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club event kicks off this weekend and as a special part of this year’s event, Sam’s Club is helping to raise awareness about the issue of hunger in the U.S. and donating $1 million to support child hunger programs through Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. The donation will provide approximately 8 million meals to children and families in need during the holiday season and throughout the year.
