"As long as people in the communities we serve struggle with food insecurity, The Kroger Co.’s family of stores will remain committed — along with Feeding America – to fighting hunger. In 2010, through our significant donations of food and funds to more than 80 local food banks across the country, Kroger provided the equivalent of 125 million meals to assist our hungry neighbors. The leadership of Feeding America and its network of local food bank affiliates is key to making this possible. We are grateful for our 30 year partnership in this effort."

For more than 25 years, The Kroger Co. has helped the fight against hunger in the United States. Every Kroger regional division works closely with more than 200 Feeding America Network food banks and agencies. Kroger’s Perishable Donation program brings critically needed perishable food items to our Network members. In 2006, Kroger launched Bringing Hope to the Table," a cause-marketing partnership that brings together food manufacturers, popular brands, and consumers in a united effort to fight hunger in communities across America. Now in its third successful year, the program has generated more than $9 million in cash donations and $3 million in product for our Network Members. The Kroger Co. has been honored by the Feeding America Network for its continued support, naming it Retailer of the Year for five of the last seven years.
