Sara Gore is host of LX.TV’s 1ST LOOK on NBC. LXTV 1st Look is a multi-platform weekly lifestyle guide to the best in dining, nightlife, shopping, art, wellness and weekend escapes reaching nearly a million viewers on NBC’s top stations across the country. Sara is also host of OPENHOUSE NYC, a real estate guide that offers a glamorous look at how New Yorkers live, buy, sell, renovate and design their homes.
Both shows are also distributed online, out of home, and can be seen everywhere from NYC taxis to American Airlines. Sara is also a regular guest chef on the #1 morning show in America, the Today Show.
Sara worked as a caterer, a private cooking instructor, a food columnist, a personal chef, a sous chef, and a line cook for world-renowned chef Jean Georges Vongerichten. She also hosted a cooking series under the General Mills umbrella and a Food Network pilot before joining the LXTV family as a food expert in 2006.
Recently, Gore was named a “2008 Power Woman” by New York Moves Magazine and nominated for a 2009 Emmy Award in the Program Host category for First Look NY.
Sara Gore graduated with honors from Manhattan Marymount College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in business. Gore grew up in the Adirondack region in upstate New York.
Sara is happy to have joined the Entertainment Council for Feeding America and hopes that her passion for food and making the most of what you’ve got outlook makes her and the organization a perfect fit.
