Position Description
Under the direction of the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO), the Senior Manager, Philanthropy Operations provides leadership in the acquisition, management, analysis and use of information necessary to support the Philanthropy team as well as donors to the North Texas Food Bank.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Philanthropy Operations provides overall direction, supervision and leadership in operations supporting fundraising efforts, with oversight of core functions of development operations: 1) reporting and data integrity and management, 2) gift processing and administration, 3) gift acknowledgement and donor stewardship and 4) prospect research. The Senior Manager is responsible for shaping and strengthening the policies, effectiveness and efficiencies of these core fundraising services and plays a key role in collaborating with the organization’s finance staff on gift accounting, tracking and reporting.
Application Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and 7-10 years of experience working in a development or fundraising environment in a mid-senior level role. Familiarity in CRM database systems or Blackbaud databases such as Razors Edge or Enterprise is essential. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must. Development experience in the Philanthropy department of a mid-large size non-profit organization; intermediate knowledge of computer software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Candidate must be self-driven, problem-solver, organized, systems thinking and highly analytical. Must understand fundraising process and moves management; A proven manager that promotes teamwork, creativity and open communication. Additionally, they must possess superb written, presentation, and public speaking skills. CFRE designation preferred.
