Position Description
This position reports to the Development and PR/Marketing Director. This is a senior level development position responsible for foundation funding, corporate funding, and all external communication and PR/Marketing activities. Position will be responsible for the development of all copy, messaging, and branding for external documents. No staff supervision will be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Foundations
- Position will be in charge of all foundation funding including grant writing, report writing, tracking of proposal and grant report due dates, and new foundation funding research.
- Corporate Relations
- Position will be in charge of all corporate funding including management of our annual Corporate Challenge, and corporate outreach.
- External Communications
- Position will be responsible for all external messaging and branding. External documents include: annual report, newsletter (3), Donor Impact Reports, acknowledgment copy, updates for Board, Guild, Member Agencies, and local government funders, op-eds, guest opinions, and letters to the editor.
- PR/Marketing
- Position will be responsible for all PR/Marketing efforts including our Holiday/Year-End Integrated Marketing campaign, press releases, press kit, tracking of press hits. Position will coordinate copy and message with Finance Director for website and with Events Coordinator on social media pieces.
Application Qualifications
The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in successful grant writing and other development activities, including community outreach, with a proven record in non profit fundraising. Strong writing, verbal, and organizational skills are required.
