Feeding America Scores in 99th Percentile on Health Survey conducted by Morehead Associates
The Feeding America national office believes that satisfied and engaged employees are critical to helping Americans who struggle with hunger. To ensure we are cultivating the best-possible work environment to fuel our mission, we annually conduct an organizational health survey of all employees. This survey asks questions regarding job satisfaction, management, co-workers and more. We are pleased to report that our 2009 results far outpaced those of other profit and nonprofit organizations, with an overall score in the 99th percentile. One of our highest-scoring items was employee agreement with the statement “I am proud to tell people I work for this organization”—a true testament to the strength of our work environment and mission.
The Morehead Apex Workplace of Distinction is awarded annually to clients who have reached and sustained the 90th percentile on their employee surveys in 2009. These successful organizations are recognized for their knowledge that one of the most valuable resources for providing safe, superior care is the commitment and engagement of their employees.
"Feeding America has long been recognized for its outstanding performance throughout the region. We are delighted to present them with the Apex Workplace of Excellence Award in honor of the great work they do, both externally and internally," explains Larry Tilson, President, Morehead Associates.
Each year, Morehead awards the industry's top achievers by objectively identifying the highest performers and acknowledging their contributions. These award winners share a dedication to providing a rewarding, professional environment for their employees. There are two categories of Apex Workplace Awards, Workplace of Excellence and Workplace of Distinction.
