Position Description

Participate as an integral member of the Direct Response Team to successfully implement Feeding America’s direct response program across all channels (direct mail, email, etc.) and meet organizational fundraising performance goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Project manage development and execution of direct response fundraising campaigns and donor communications in collaboration with internal staff and direct response vendors (direct mail, email, etc.), Includes managing campaign timelines, securing creative approval, instating quality controls and understanding basic campaign segmentation, reporting and analysis.
• Coordinate the integration of mail and interactive communications to continually improve donor experience.
• Develop annual resource plan to secure content, data and other information to be included in donor communications.
• Manage relationships with internal departments and the mail vendor to identify and create compelling stories and communications aimed at our donor and prospective donor base.
• Identify and devise new strategies, tactics and ideas relative to donor communications and fundraising strategies.
• Contribute to the Direct Response Program to meet and report on revenue and expense projections on a monthly basis.
• Remain abreast of existing and emerging direct response trends, best practices and technologies in order to ensure program effectiveness.

Application Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred
• 3-5 years professional experience in an office environment.
• Experience with direct response analytics and database segmentation. Internet marketing exposure a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong sense of meeting deadlines and follow-up.
• Aptitude to prioritize project load and collaborate with manager on reprioritizing workload appropriately.
• Ability to manage up and across different staff levels to bring projects to completion.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Must exercise strong customer service and diplomacy skills.
• High degree of professionalism, flexibility and initiative.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Exposure to fundraising database and online fundraising technologies a plus (PIDI, Convio).
