Fight Hunger. Spark Change. Together.

Feeding America, Walmart, and Sam’s Club are teaming up for the 13th annual Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign. Through donations made in-store, online, and by purchasing specially-marked products, we can support our neighbors in communities across America.

Sharon Camacho Meakes is the executive director of the aptly named Community Hope Center at the Seneca Creek Community Church in Maryland.

How we work together

Since 2005, Walmart, Sam’s Club and the Walmart Foundation have worked alongside Feeding America to fight hunger. Although Walmart and Sam’s Club are two of Feeding America’s largest donors with investments totaling nearly $300 million, their commitment goes beyond financial contributions. They’ve also donated more than 9 billion pounds of food and helped to make it easier to access healthy foods through:

Kesu distributing food to furloughed federal workers in Maryland.

Reaching neighbors everywhere

Food banks receive grants and food donations to address food insecurity and create solutions that help everyone thrive.

Innovating with Dignity

Investments in digital tools like OrderAhead and MealConnect get the right food to the right people at the right time and ensure neighbors can access food with dignity and ease.

SNAP assistance

We connect people with SNAP, a government program that helps families buy food.

Linda Nageotte, President and Chief Operating Officer at Feeding America

“At the heart of Fight Hunger. Spark Change. is a simple truth: the movement to end hunger is led by neighbors—the people, partners and associates who show up, stand together, and strengthen their communities from within. Through Feeding America's longstanding and deeply valued partnership with Walmart and Sam's Club, we are expanding access to nutritious food and empowering local food banks to continue serving communities with resources, dignity and hope. When neighbors lead, real change follows.”
